DHL witnesses huge growth with retail expansion plan

DHL has recently opened four new service points in the UAE as part of its commitment to be the most widely available express logistics provider in the country.
‘Being easy to do business with, is part of our strategy and our new service points ensure customers can deal with their shipments while they shop. Our goal is to facilitate customers’ lives by providing easy accessibility. The locations of upcoming and existing service points reflect the projected 180 per cent increase in the number of shopping centres in the country.’
The new service points, located at Deira and Sharjah City Centres, Mall of the Emirates and Dragon Mart, represent a major step in DHL’s ambitious retail expansion plans with shipments up 40% and further increases expected. The recently opened service points are part of 21 existing sites in the UAE, with others scheduled to be opened soon.
‘We are witnessing huge growth in the number of shipments originating from our service points, with figures up 40% year-on-year. The results are a clear indicator that a large number of small medium enterprises and retail customers prefer to walk into stores to drop off their shipments, rather than use the home pick-up option.’ Wild explained.
The announcement highlights DHL’s dedication to continuous investments in people and infrastructure to serve customers better and provide the right solution whatever the requirement.
