Evri: Cargo bikes are an important part of our commitment to reach net zero

 Evri has partnered with local cargo bike delivery firm Pedal & Post to provide carbon free deliveries to all consumers homes in Oxford’s Zero Emission Zone

This latest partnership is part of Evri’s wider sustainability strategy and commitment to reach net-zero in direct and indirect carbon emissions by 2035.

The company, which already uses cargo bikes in Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester and Wimbledon, has partnered with Pedal & Post, one of the UK’s first low emissions couriers. Pedal & Post will dedicate four EAV cargo bikes to deliver up to 600 parcels per day, increasing to 1,200 during Evri’s peak period. It follows Evri’s recent commitment to triple its parcel deliveries by cargo bikes to over 500,000 within the next year.

The EAV cargo bikes are one of the largest on the market, boasting a cargo volume of 2,000 litres, a 170kg payload and generate zero emissions. The use of these e-cargo bikes not only has a positive impact on the environment, but it should mean deliveries are even more reliable in built up areas that are challenging to deliver to using traditional methods.
