Austrian Post strengthens its delivery capabilities in Switzerland

Österreichische Post AG and Planzer KEP AG are starting a cooperation for parcel delivery in Switzerland.

The strengths of the two logistics companies will be combined to deliver parcels for Austrian Post’s business customers in Switzerland even better and more efficiently. Austrian Post’s mail-order customers can now conveniently send their parcels to their recipients in Switzerland with a one-stop service, which will then be delivered nationwide by “Planzer Parcel”. The cooperation expands the range of options for delivery in Switzerland, which benefits both private and business customers of Austrian Post. “The collaboration with Planzer marks an important milestone for both companies and strengthens our delivery capabilities in Switzerland. This will enable us to offer our shipping customers an even better and, above all, sustainable service for the entire DACH region,” explains Peter Umundum, Director of the Board of Management for Parcel & Logistics, Austrian Post AG. “We are proud to be able to work with such a renowned company in the future. We are determined to provide customers with a sustainable and outstanding service,” says Nils Planzer, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Planzer. ABOUT PLANZERPlanzer was founded in 1936 and has been a family-owned stock corporation since 1966. Today, the logistics company employs more than 5,900 people, including more than 370 apprentices. It is present at 69 locations in Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, France and Hong Kong. With various services and complete solutions, it serves business and private customers. The family-owned company places a special emphasis on sustainability. For example, more than 60 percent of shipments travel the majority of the transport distance by environmentally friendly rail.
