New leader for SingPost

Singapore Post Ltd has announced that Mr Shahrin Abdol Salam will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer for its Singapore business with effect from 1 May 2024. He will succeed Ms Neo Su Yin, who will be leaving the company to pursue other career opportunities.

Mr Shahrin has more than 25 years of experience in operations management, strategic planning, asset management, business development, engineering and customer service. He has held various senior leadership positions, including most recently as Managing Director of SMRT’s Thomson East Coast Line and Senior Vice President, Strategic Relations at SMRT Corporation. His previously held positions include Expert & Advisor (Rail Agency) for Dubai Government’s Roads and Transport Authority.

“We are excited to have Shahrin join our team,” said Mr Vincent Phang, SingPost’s Group CEO. “Shahrin has a strong track record in leading operations, engineering and service quality, and I look forward to his leadership in our continued transformation.”

Mr Shahrin said: “I am delighted to join SingPost’s leadership team and work with our people and partners. It is exciting and a privilege to lead such an iconic business, especially at this transformative time.”

SingPost expressed its gratitude to Ms Neo Su Yin for her contributions during her tenure as CEO of the Singapore business, crediting her for leadership through COVID-19, the domestic service performance improvement as well as eCommerce growth.
