Air Business expands global e-Commerce and publishing services

Air Business, the global logistics and technology company, welcomes Jon Middleton and Darrell Sweeney as its new Director of Global New Business and e-Commerce Service Delivery Director respectively.

This follows significant investment into its own proprietary e-logistics technology, Consero. Jon is reporting into Air Business’ CEO, Adam Sherman and Darrell is reporting into Andy Haylar, e-Commerce and Technology Director.

Jon has returned to the business after 10 years of creating e-Commerce solutions at companies such as Parcel2Go and Royal Mail. He has valuable experience in director level roles in the mail and parcels industry acquired over many years. His aim is to harness the newly developed technology, pair it with market leading distribution solutions wrapped in Air Business’s already famous levels of customer service. He will then present these services to new and existing sectors alike such as Retail and Publishing.

Darrell (pictured left), brings valuable industry expertise from working in e-Commerce and distribution at organisations such as Royal Mail and Pro Carrier, as well as playing a key role in the growth and success of P2P Mailing from start up to buy-out by Fed-Ex. His goal will be to expand the company’s e-Commerce service offerings by enhancing its worldwide network, building upon Air Business’s outstanding service into Ireland via its owner and delivery partner An Post (The National Post Office of Ireland).

Jon Middleton, Global New Business Director (pictured right), said, “I’m happy to be back at Air Business as it expands its market-leading reputation in publishing to global e-Commerce and technology. The business has an exciting vision for growth based on excellence in operations and customer service – which I’ve not seen matched anywhere else.”

Moreover, Darrell Sweeney, e-Commerce Service Delivery Director, said: “I have always respected the honesty of the Air Business team and I am very happy to join the company at a critical time in their history. I am passionate about the transportation of parcels and eager to use my knowledge to create solutions that appeal to retailers and provide delivery experiences that satisfy customer needs.”

Adam Sherman, Air Business CEO, said: “Jon and Darrell join us at a great time of change and growth for Air Business. We are excited to see how they will help us grow our solutions, reach more customers and keep our service and customer experience excellent.”
