CEO of Latvia Post moves on

Beāte Krauze-Čebotare, Chairwoman of the Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts, has stepped down from office, as she has accepted a job offer in another company outside the public sector. Beāte Krauze-Čebotare’s last day of office in the company is the 31st of July 2024.

Andris Puriņš, Member of the Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts, will now be temporarily taking on the responsibilities of Chairman of the Board. His mandate will remain in effect until the Supervisory Board of Latvijas Pasts approves a new Chairman of the Board through the open competition that is currently underway.

“The postal item service industry is experiencing significant growth worldwide, including in Latvia. Competition also motivates Latvijas Pasts to evolve and adjust to new circumstances. Under the leadership of Beāte Krauze-Čebotare, Latvijas Pasts has made a series of improvements in operational processes, customer service and service management. We express our gratitude to Beāte Krauze-Čebotare for her contribution to the development of the company and wish her success in her future career,” says Kaspars Rokens, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts.

The vision of the national postal operator is to be every resident’s first choice for mail service. Consequently, one of the company’s priorities for 2024 is to expand the number of parcel lockers to 400 units, creating the most extensive coverage across Latvia. Ensuring the country’s regional development and the availability of postal services for all Latvian residents, parcel lockers are installed both in towns and cities and in less populated areas. Latvijas Pasts services are also made more accessible through various innovations, such as the Home Pick-up (Pastnieks mājās) service, which allows residents to receive postal and payment services at their place of residence. Latvia’s capital, Riga, is being established as a logistics hub by Latvijas Pasts through the expansion of the e-commerce mail and logistics business segment.
