GLS Group: this sale will enhance our value proposition to our customers

GLS Group announces the sale of GLS US Freight Inc. and GLS US Business Solutions Inc., its US freight divisions, to DC Logistics LLC., known for its high-quality Less-than-Truckload (LTL) trucking and warehousing solutions.

The transaction is consistent with GLS US’ strategy to focus on its core parcel offering as the business seeks to reinforce its position as the preferred parcel delivery provider for US customers. Freight services provided in other markets where GLS operates will be unaffected.

Saadi Al-Soudani, Chief International Officer, GLS Group, said: “This sale marks an exciting milestone for GLS as we focus on expanding our core US domestic and international parcel offerings. The GLS commitment remains to provide its parcel customers with exceptional quality and service as well as grow GLS US as a leading parcel delivery service provider in the American market.”

Judas Castro, CEO, DC Logistics, said: “We are thrilled to welcome GLS US Freight and GLS US Solutions into our team. This is a significant step to accelerate our journey to become a Top 20 LTL carrier in the United States and it will enhance our value proposition to our customers while positioning our company and our employees for new levels of success. We intend to revive the Mountain Valley Express brand known for its history of excellence in customer service.”

The sale of the GLS US freight division is set to officially close on 1 September 2024, subject to customary closing conditions. Both GLS and DC Logistics will collaborate to ensure a seamless transition for US freight clients and employees.
