DHL Express France continues successful SwipBox locker initiative from the Olympics

With area restrictions in place in many areas of Paris, DHL had to come up with a solution to maintain their high level of delivery service for the duration of the Olympics.

To help them in this matter they chose the battery-driven Infinity locker from Denmark-based SwipBox. Having proved successful, the solution is continued for the Paralympics taking place from 28 August to 8 September.

“As a number of our parcel pickup locations are placed within the restricted areas, we needed a network of easily deployed lockers that we could place as close to these areas as possible, minimising any inconvenience to our customers. Thanks to its wireless design, the Infinity locker proved to be the perfect solution as it allowed us to quickly set up this network and keep up our high level of delivery service,” said Fatah Ziani, Operations Director at DHL Express France, adding that the wireless design also allows the lockers to be easily moved to different locations if needed during or after the two sporting events.

Asked about this solution, SwipBox Director of Integration & Strategic Partnerships, Jacob Gjørt Christensen, said: “DHL Express have been fantastic to work with, not least thanks to their innovative, solution-oriented mindset. Collaboration has been smooth, and it’s been a pleasure working with their team to find the best solution for their couriers and end users alike.”
