bpost aims to be “closer than ever” to its customers
bpost has installed Belgium’s biggest parcel locker which has space for 184 parcels. The overall number of bpost Parcel locker locations across the country recently topped one thousand.

The brand-new Parcel locker at the Philipssite in Leuven is the biggest in Belgium. It can accommodate up to 184 compartments for parcel pick-up or drop-off. This giant Parcel locker comprises 23 individual modules and took a full six hours to install.

bpost was a trailblazer when it installed the first Parcel lockers in Belgium back in 2011. And the network has been constantly enhanced and expanded over the past 13 years. Now, virtually every inhabitant of Belgium can reach a pick-up point by bike or car in less than six minutes. Earlier this year, bpost surpassed the symbolic milestone of one thousand Parcel locker locations in Belgium. bpost has no fewer than 1.116 Parcel lockers across the country – a number that continues to grow. Over 47.000 parcels can be processed simultaneously through the bpost Parcel lockers.

Chris Peeters, CEO of bpost: “Parcel lockers, like this one in Leuven, are an important aspect of the ambition of bpost to be closer than ever. Whether you’re working from home or not, you can pick up your parcel from a Parcel locker whenever it suits you and you can return it just as easily. It’s also the most environmentally friendly way to send and receive parcels. This way, we all contribute to reducing our ecological footprint.”
