New Head of Strategic Network Planning & Management at Austrian Post
Wolfgang Pfarl took over as Head of Strategic Network Planning & Management at Austrian Post on 1 October 2024. He succeeds Matthias Hofmann, who also took over as Head of the Distribution Business Unit on 1 October. Previously, Wolfgang Pfarl was Managing Director of Post Wertlogistik GmbH.
In his new role, Wolfgang Pfarl will be responsible for strategic network planning and control. This includes strategic personnel management and the further optimisation of the delivery infrastructure. He is also responsible for the fleet of over 10,000 vehicles and the further expansion of e-mobility with CO2-free delivery on the last mile. Furthermore, he will be responsible for the internationalization of these areas, as well as quality management and the further development of shipment security.
Born in Salzburg, he has been with Austrian Post since 2014, initially as Head of Strategic and Operational Group Purchasing. In 2017, the doctor of law moved to the management of Post Wertlogistik, where he made a significant contribution to the realignment of the company.
