Latvijas Pasts: The joint parcel locker network model is a smart step in e-commerce

SJSC Latvijas Pasts together with UNISEND, the brand of Lietuvos paštas, have launched a joint parcel locker network to provide customers with convenient parcel delivery services in the Baltic States.

Latvijas Pasts customers can now send parcels to Estonia and Lithuania using the UNISEND parcel locker network, which includes more than 450 parcel locker locations in both neighbouring countries.

“The joint parcel locker network model is a smart step in e-commerce. Two companies are taking the opportunity to provide a convenient postal experience for Baltic residents. Such solution is more economical and sustainable than for each company to create its own parcel locker network in the respective countries. Our partnership, combined with an attractive pricing policy, is a good reason for people to prefer players from our region over other foreign merchants,” so Jānis Kūliņš, Member of the Board of Latvijas Pasts, emphasizes the possibility for customers to use the parcel lockers of both companies.

Notably, since October this year, UNISEND Latvija customers have already been able to receive some of their parcels through the blue Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers. Starting early next year, UNISEND customers will have full access to Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers, enabling them to send, receive, and return parcels with ease. Similarly, Latvijas Pasts customers will have access to UNISEND’S parcel locker network in Latvia.

Currently, UNISEND’S network spans approximately 750 parcel lockers across the entire Baltic region.

“UNISEND is excited to partner with Latvijas Pasts, meeting the growing demand for convenience and flexibility driven by e-commerce trends. Parcel lockers are rapidly becoming the preferred solution for sending and receiving parcels across the Baltic states, offering a seamless delivery experience that aligns with our promise to customers: Send. Receive. Easy. Through this partnership, we are adding significant value for customers across the region, enabling them to enjoy faster, more reliable cross-border deliveries with ease,” says Ruslanas Prokofjevas, CEO of UNISEND Latvija.

Given that Latvijas Pasts has created the largest parcel locker network in the country this year, almost doubling their number, and Lietuvos Paštas continues to expand the UNISEND parcel locker network in the region, the joint network will provide customers with almost 1,000 parcel locker locations in the Baltic States.
