Austrian Post opens new location in Zell am See
Austrian Post is pressing ahead with the expansion of its logistics infrastructure. In addition to increasing sorting capacities in the logistics centres, the steadily increasing number of parcels also requires modern postal bases with modern workplaces from which the shipments are delivered.
One of these new locations is located in 5700 Zell am See and has now been officially opened in the presence of Andreas Wimmreuter, Mayor of the Municipality of Zell am See, Franz Nigl, Head of Human Resources Management, Österreichische Post AG, Matthias Hofmann, Head of Distribution, Österreichische Post AG, and Michael Hargitai, Head of Distribution Western Austria, Österreichische Post AG.
THE NEW POST OFFICE BASE IN ZELL AM SEE
The new location in 5700 Zell am See has a usable area of around 2,200 m². The almost 50 employees sort and deliver around 3,100 parcels per day, as well as letters, brochures, newspapers and magazines in Zell am See and the surrounding communities.
The new postal base has a modular structure, so that Swiss Post will be able to react flexibly to changing requirements in the future. In the spirit of sustainable construction, the building was equipped with the infrastructure for a complete e-vehicle fleet. Heating is provided by a heat pump and underfloor heating or concrete core activation, and the roof has also been greened and equipped with a photovoltaic system.
For delivery and pre-sorting at the new Zell am See postal base, Swiss Post is looking for additional full-time and part-time employees. Interested parties can find out more directly and apply at: karriere.post.at.
