Comm-Unity: Our cooperation with Austrian Post has stood for stability, quality and shared responsibility

Post Business Solutions and Comm-Unity are continuing their successful partnership, as Comm-Unity has extended its contract for another four years until 2030.

This means that the tried-and-tested connection of the dual dispatch module of Post Business Solutions remains a central component of the dispatch processes for more than 330 municipalities and associations throughout Austria. The digital solution enables the secure and convenient posting of all letter mail, from classic standard letters to RSa and RSb items. Austrian Post takes over the data transmitted by the software and checks that the recipients can be reached electronically. If this is the case, delivery is automatically made as an e-letter or via “My Mailbox” directly to the digital mailbox. Otherwise, Swiss Post prints out the document, envelops it and delivers it physically.

“Digitization in administration does not mean ‘either-or’, but an intelligent combination of both worlds,” says Walter Oblin, CEO of Österreichische Post AG. “Together with Comm-Unity, we enable municipalities to securely transmit their information to citizens directly from their systems – digitally or physically. This is lived service cooperation for a modern public administration.”

Michael Stark, Managing Director of Comm-Unity, says about the contract extension: “Our cooperation with Austrian Post has stood for stability, quality and shared responsibility for over ten years. Millions of shipments per year are the result of a well-rehearsed cooperation and a clear common orientation. The extension of this partnership is a logical step for us to ensure reliability and future security for our customers in the future.”

Post Business Solutions’ dual dispatch module is seamlessly integrated into GeOrg, Comm-Unity’s flagship product. This modular, SAP-based 360° management software is already used in one in eight Austrian municipalities. Thanks to the seamless integration into the existing municipal software, municipalities can send their mail items quickly, efficiently and without media disruptions from their familiar working environment.

“For municipalities, our cooperation with Comm-Unity means in concrete terms: Fewer media breaks, less manual work, more security. Citizens can choose how they want to receive their documents – the administration no longer has to worry about different shipping routes,” says George Wallner, Managing Director of Post Business Solutions.
