Correos Post Offices renew ISO 9001 certificate
A total of 1.953 post offices of CORREOS have the certification ISO 9001, a seal that credits the quality of the service of delivery of postal shipments. The great majority of them has renewed that seal of quality obtained in 2005 and other 156 are postal offices of new creation that have also deserved this European certification.
The total of certified centers marks a landmark in Spain by the number, 1.953, which supposes the practical totality of the network of offices that counts CORREOS. That Certification ISO 9001 credits to the citizens and clients the quality with which the postal company renders the service of shipments’ delivery.
The ‘System of Quality Management of the Delivery Process in the Office’ was implanted in 2005, after putting 1.797 Postal Offices under an integral process of internal audits in which the company/signature certifier Bureau Veritas Quality International, BVQI, stated that the system of management used by CORREOS in these units for the shipments’ delivery fulfilled all the exigencies and ratios of quality that demands European norm ISO 9001:2000.
The past year 2006, the same company certified the quality, in agreement with the Norm ISO 9001, in the 156 Post Offices of new creation.
BVQI -the first private organization of certification in Spain- is present in more than 140 countries and has certified more than 45.000 companies in the world. The achievement of this Certificate represents a step more in the continuous improvement of the quality in CORREOS and a new advance in the configuration of a more modern and competitive company, in addition to a quality guarantee and service.
