Connxion wins DHL electronic contract in Australia
Outsourced document delivery specialist ConnXion Ltd will migrate DHL Exel Supply Chain’s entire customer base to electronic delivery. Under the contract, air and ocean freight and contract logistics provider DHL will deploy ConnXion’s technology to give its customers the option to seamlessly migrate from paper to digital delivery of documents including statements and invoices, resulting in faster and easier processing for customers.
ConnXion CEO David Colvin said “We are delighted that ConnXion’s successful results with other DHL companies have generated this new deal with DHL Exel Supply Chain. The company’s shift from traditional paper-based delivery in favour of multi-channel capabilities is representative of broad market movements toward digital options.
It also evidences our ability to deliver significant and immediate benefits to the leading logistics and supply chain providers across the globe.” Mr Colvin said the deal demonstrated the trend emerging around automating supply chain management via electronic document delivery.
“Logistics providers achieve significant benefits from our solution because it is capable of handling documents faster, more accurately and at a greatly reduced cost,” he said. “Paper-based technologies are a long-held foundation of the logistics industry, a foundation that is, quite simply no longer able to keep pace with modern business demands.”
