DHL launches Intracity Express service in Moscow
DHL has launched a new express delivery service for documents and parcels within the Moscow region – Intracity Express.
The service covers door-to-door delivery of parcels and documents within Moscow city and around 90 other locations.
Intracity Express is targeted at companies and individuals and can be used in combination with other services, including Saturday pick-up and delivery, and pro-active tracking.
Due to the rapidly growing demand for express delivery in Russia, DHL plans to expand Intracity Express to other big cities across the country, including St Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Naberezhnye Chelny, Krasnodar, Ekateringburg, Novorossiysk, Perm, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk.
“Moscow is one of the largest and most dynamic cities in the world. Therefore we have to keep pace with the customers’needs for high-quality express-delivery services for documents and parcels,” said Mark Jordan, commercial director of DHL Russia.
Customers using the service could reduce their costs by a third through the selection of optimal delivery dates, he added.
