FedEx close to Postal Service deal

New York–Jan. 9–FedEx Corp. [US;FDX] is close to a deal with the U.S.
Postal Service on a delivery contract that could bring in at least $5 billion in
revenue over the next several years for the Memphis, Tenn. company, the
Wall Street Journal’s interactive edition reported. However, Emery Worldwide
Airlines, a unit of CNF Inc. [US;CNF] of Palo Alto, Calif., which already
has a delivery pact with the Postal Service, may scuttle FedEx’s plans, the
