DHL New Zealand venture Express Couriers buys Roadstar Transport Ltd

Express Couriers, the joint venture between DHL and New Zealand Post, fulfil customer demand with the acquisition of Roadstar Transport Ltd.

This acquisition while further cementing Express Couriers market leadership, responds to customer demand for the addition of a multi-package and palletised transport solution to their current Whole Package offering.

Following on from Express Couriers transition to New Zealand Post and DHL joint ownership two years ago, this next leap forward is a signal of their commitment to the market, and their customers.

Broadening The Whole Package offer with the addition of multi-package and palletised transport solutions, compliment Express Couriers current range of services provided by Pace, CourierPost and Contract Logistics alongside the wider services of New Zealand Post and DHL.

The two companies will continue to operate independently, and each of their current portfolios of products and services will be maintained. The Roadstar management will remain with the company, and no job losses are planned.

Roadstar, with nearly 200 staff, has a fleet of 141 trucks and transports about 40,000 consignments a month.
