FedEx delivers to more than 45,000 Emirates Skywards members

FedEx Express recently transported more than 45,000 shipments across the world to members of Skywards, Emirates Airlines’ award-winning Customer Loyalty program.

The express delivery giant’s unmatched global transportation network, spanning more than 220 countries and territories, made the dispatch of the Skywards’ information packs and gift items simple.

‘FedEx has been managing the transportation of Skywards’ premium member gifts for the past six years. We have a dedicated team of couriers and service agents who were located within Emirates facility during the peak shipping period to ensure that the 45,000 shipments were processed accurately and on time,’ said Hamdi Osman, senior vice president, FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.

The Skywards program allows members to earn Skywards Miles that can be redeemed for a wide range of rewards. Members receive gifts and updated information brochures outlining promotions, members’ current mileage status, and programme details for the rest of the year.

‘Our Skywards Gold and Silver members are frequent travelers who expect superior service in all of their interactions with the Skywards Program,’ said Brian Labelle, vice president, Skywards. ‘By selecting FedEx, we ensure that all of our members receive their information packs and gifts on time, no matter where in the world they are located.’

A key to the success of the peak shipping period is Skyward’s use of FedEx Ship Manager. This automated shipping solution allows for the import of large external address databases which can then be easily transferred to FedEx shipping documents. This software is available to all FedEx customers, whether they ship just 1 shipment a year or up to 10,000 per day.
