ABSTRACT: The Chinese post office blames increased use of e-mail for lower mail volume and declining revenues over the past few years. About 17 mil people in China use the Internet, and Beijing houses 45% of them. Postal officials in Beijing have started to deliver Peking Duck from the best roast-duck restaurant in China, Quanjude. Such deliveries turn larger profits than postage for letters.
