CityMail International and TNT International Mail in alliance negotiations

CityMail International and TNT International Mail in alliance negotiations

CityMail International and TNT International Mail has decided to enter into negotiations regarding a strategic alliance. The two parties, who already have a customer-supplier relationship in Sweden, are exploring other areas of co-operation to enhance commercial opportunities. A Letter of Intent has been signed effective January 19th and remains valid through to April 1st 2001. Preparatory studies completed in late 2000 signalled potential areas for further cooperation in the areas of:

· Export mail from Sweden / domestic unsorted office mail (e.g. cross selling)
· Inbound mail destination Sweden
· Cross border mail

Throughout Quarter 1 2001, and under the terms of the Letter of Intent, further studies will be conducted in order to validate the proposals, and to establish the necessary commercial contractual agreement to support the alliance going forward.

CityMail International is the core business of the listed company CityMail Group. The business area has three different product areas, cross-border mail, inbound mail Sweden and domestic unsorted office mail.

TNT International Mail Sweden, is a business division of TNT Sweden AB, which is part of the listed company TPG. TNT International Mail has had a cross border export mail operation in Sweden since 1991.
