UPS reports strong growth in Taiwan

UPS, the USA-based global integrator, achieved strong growth in the Taiwan market last year. Daily volumes rose by more than 20 per cent during the fourth quarter of 2000 and by more than 25 per cent for the year as a whole when compared with the same periods in 1999. Benjamin Choi, UPS Taiwan managing director, attributes the improved performance primarily to increased express business from Taiwan’s high-tech and electronics sectors. He sees UPS maintaining 25 per cent business growth in Taiwan this year.
