FedEx National is opening a trailer relay station in Sidney, Nebraska to save over one million line-haul miles.

FedEx National is opening a trailer relay station in Sydney, Nebraska, a development expected to save FedEx about one million line-haul miles each year. The site will open in December.

The Sidney site will facilitate freight movement between FedEx National’s hubs in Orlando, Atlanta, Memphis, and Kansas City, and its hubs in Salt Lake City and Sacramento.

The 12-acre site will be graveled, fenced and lit, with an office and break room for drivers. Initially, the project will require the relocation of 10 to 12 drivers to be stationed in Sidney.
