DHL Express and Blue Dart opens new air terminal in India

New USD 25m investment to increase and strengthen DHL Express network in Sourthern India.

DHL Express and Blue Dart have announced the opening of a new terminal at Bengaluru International Airport to help grow the domestic and international express operations in Southern India.

With an investment of USD 25m, this 20,440sqm facility is expected to provide faster clearance and seamless handling of in-bound and out-bound international and domestic shipments of the two companies.

Speaking to reporters Malcolm Manterio, Senior VP and Director-South Asia of DHL Express said the combined facility would handle both domestic and international express operations at BIA and help the two companies to reduce throughput handling time.

He said DHL would be building similar facilities in Hyderabad and Delhi soon.
