Austrian Post has extended its cooperation with the two major mail order companies, Quelle and Neckermann, by a further five years.

Austrian Post said that Quelle and Neckermann have renewed their partnership with the postal company due to its reliable and fast delivery services. It will be in charge of shipping annual volumes of six million catalogues (over 1 kg each) for the two mail-order companies.

“The commitment of our employees as well as reliable and punctual delivery service have convinced Quelle and Neckermann”, said Walter Hitziger, Austrian Post board member. “A long-term and successful partnership continues and we also will continue satisfying the two catalogue companies with our services and latest innovations in the years ahead.”

In the parcels market, Quelle switched volumes of some seven million parcels a year away from Austrian Post and to new entrant Hermes at the start of 2008, while Neckermann followed shortly afterwards.
