Deutsche Post’s new strategy does not include plans to divest the letter mail business, several people close to the company’s supervisory board told Reuters.

The new “Strategy 2015” plan, which will be presented on 11 March, does not entail turning Deutsche Post into a pure logistics company, they said.

Chief executive Frank Appel already said last month that the new strategy would not comprise “big steps,” but would rather consist of many smaller measures.
