FedEx Express was recognised as a great place to work in this year’s prestigious “Best Workplaces in Ireland 2009” listing.

This placing was achieved following FedEx Express’s participation in an employee survey and is the fourth time FedEx Express has been included in the Best Workplaces list.

“We are proud that our commitment to helping our employees achieve their full potential has been acknowledged by this prestigious institution,” said David Canavan, managing director, FedEx Express Ireland. “Employee motivation is a core strategy for the success of our business. Satisfied and empowered employees are much more likely to deliver outstanding customer service.”

In Ireland, FedEx Express employs 140 people and has operations in Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Kilkenny.

The Best Workplaces in Ireland 2009 listing was announced by Bob Lee, CEO of the Great Place to Work Institute Ireland, the survey organiser, at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin on 25 February.
