Former FedEx Kinko’s executives Ken May and Bill Doherty have landed back in Memphis as partners at reverse logistics provider Warehouse86 Ventures LLC.

May, who previously served as president and CEO of FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Services, will serve as chairman of Warehouse86.

Doherty, former vice president of US operations for the eastern division for FedEx Kinko’s, will take over CEO duties for Warehouse86.

Both executives will lead the Memphis-based company, which operates a 300,000-square-foot warehouse and employs 50 staff.

Warehouse86 provides reverse logistics and return processing for retailers and manufacturers. Items that have been purchased from stores or online, which are then returned, are picked up in bulk and processed at Warehouse86’s Memphis facility.

Those items can then be auctioned on Warehouse86’s bidding platform www.Bidtopia.com.

“Our goal is to eliminate what is now a cost centre for so many manufacturers and retailers by liquidating products in an efficient, revenue generating model while offering consumers great deals,” Doherty said.

Both May and Doherty said their first order of business at Warehouse86 will be to revamp the Bidtopia.com site and design a new marketing platform which will reach out to consumers and liquidators.
