TNT has issued a statement in response to their continued relationship with Northern Irish haulage firm MMK International, whose owner, Mark McKinney, recently had £3m of assets seized by the Serious Organised Crime Agency.
A statement from TNT read: “MMK International has provided services to TNT Fashion Group for the past 10 years.
“Their standards of performance have always been exceptionally high, matching or exceeding TNT’s own exacting expectations. The relationship between MMK and TNT has been at all times strictly professional and has been based on the service standards achieved.
“For this reason, when an interim receiving order was granted in February 2006 and the official Receiver requested the continued support of TNT, this co-operation was maintained.
“The outcome of a recent civil action against Mark McKinney is being assessed with a view to its applicability or otherwise to the business relationship between TNT and MMK International.”
