US Postal Service has imposed a freeze on new construction and major renovations in 2001

Facing a $2 billion deficit, the U.S. Postal Service last week put a freeze on
all new construction and major repair projects scheduled for this year,
including those at 64 locations in New York and 21 in New Jersey. Branches
affected include the Dag Hammerskjold, Rockefeller Center and Port
