Deutsche Post DHL has no plans for now to take a stake in Britain’s Royal Mail, financial sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on 4 May.

Deutsche Post DHL has no plans for now to take a stake in Britain’s Royal Mail, financial sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on 4 May.

The Bonn-based group has not submitted a bid for Royal Mail and is not interested in pursuing a deal at this stage, the sources said.

TNT and financial investor CVC had also put out initial feelers toward Royal Mail, the sources said.

The British government is seeking an investor for the postal operator to help it sharpen its business edge, offering a 30% stake.
