Royal Mail has announced that it has hit its First and Second Class mail targets for business bulk mail in the 2008-09 financial year to the end of March. According to Royal Mail’s annual customer quality of service report published on 29 May, 93% of First Class mail arrived the day after posting and 98.5% of Second Class mail arrived on time within three working days after posting, with both services precisely on target.
Royal Mail’s postmen and women also achieved target-beating performance for Standard parcels and European International mail over the last year.
