Proposed partnership between the Banque Postale and Mutuelle Générale

The Banque Postale has already concluded partnership agreements with Société Générale to distribute consumer credit and with Groupama for casualty insurance.

The Banque Postale, the banking subsidiary of the French Post Office, has chosen Mutuelle Générale as its potential partner to develop its health insurance activity, via a joint venture specialised in health insurance, in which the Banque Postale will hold a majority stake. If the agreement is finalised before the end of 2009, the new health insurance offering will be launched in the Banque Postale’s network in the second half of 2010. The Banque Postale has already concluded partnership agreements with Société Générale to distribute consumer credit and with Groupama for casualty insurance.
