FedEx wins Changi Airport cargo award

FedEx Express has been singled out as one of Singapore Changi Airport’s top 10 cargo airlines – for the fourth year in a row.

FedEx was the only international express freight carrier to achieve recognition as one of the airport’s “Top 10 Airlines by Cargo Carriage.”

The award selection criterion was based on the total volume of cargo that airlines shipped through Changi Airport in 2008.

Started in 2006, the annual CAAS award ceremony recognises the airlines contribution to Changi Airport’s growth and celebrates the strong partnership between the Authority and the airlines operating at Changi Airport.

“This recognition is testament to the strength of FedEx unparalleled network to provide our customers with fast and reliable access to the global markets and the commitment of our employees to make to make every FedEx experience outstanding,” said Ramesh K. Singam, managing director of FedEx Express Singapore.

“Our success is due in no small part to our close working relationship with CAAS to continually improve service standards to meet the needs of our customers,” he added.
