DHL has been recognised in Asia Pacific with five wins at the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Transportation & Logistics Awards.
At a ceremony in Singapore, the company received two of the regional “Best Practices” awards, comprising “Manufacturing Logistics Service Provider of the Year” and “Green Logistics Service Provider of the Year”.
“The Manufacturing Logistics Provider of the Year award is tremendously encouraging. The award also reaffirms our strategic decision to invest in infrastructure and information technology to further optimise the supply chain for customers,” DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific chief executive officer, Paul Graham, said in a statement.
He said these developments have enabled DHL to offer customers enhanced speed and efficiency, which is particularly crucial for our customers in sectors such as technology and healthcare, where speed-to-market and flexibility are key business concerns.
DHL also clinched three “Voice of Customer” awards, taking home “Pharmaceutical Logistics Service Provider of the Year for Malaysia” as well as “Pharmaceutical Logistics Service Provider of the Year for Indonesia” and “FMCG and Retail Logistics Service Provider of the Year for Indonesia”.
The awards are held annually to recognise outstanding performance by companies in the transportation and logistics industry in Asia Pacific.
