Finnish subsidiaries of Itella Logistics to merge into a single company

Itella Logistics subsidiaries AW-Store Oy, Kauko Group Oy, and SHW Logistiikka Oy will merge with Itella Logistics Oy on 1 October 2009. As a result of the merger, domestic warehousing services and foreign transport will be combined into one legal company. The personnel of the merging companies will continue as Itella Logistics Oy’s employees.

“Operating under one name clarifies our operations internally, and in relation to customers and partners. We will also achieve synergy benefits by harmonizing administration, systems and procedures,” says Jarmo Halonen¸ country manager of Itella Logistics Finland.

The merger has no impact on the services provided by Itella Logistics. The contracts of all of the merging companies are transferred to Itella Logistics Oy. The addresses for offices and contact people for customers will remain unchanged. Customers will be provided with separate communication about the merger.
