Aramex score with soccer merchandise

Aramex has announced that it has become the sole global distributor of Saudi Professional League (SPL) 2009-2010 merchandise. Fans ordering their favourite team-branded caps, jerseys, T-shirts and other merchandise on the SPL online store will receive them at their doorstep through Aramex’s global network. This service is offered for fans based anywhere in the world.

The SPL, which was launched in 1966, is the most popular football competition held annually in Saudi Arabia. This year’s season, which began in August, saw 12 regional teams competing for the top three prizes totaling SAR 5m. The top four teams of the league qualify to the AFC Asian Champions League, while the top six qualify to enter the Champions Cup.

“In the Middle East and across the globe, fans of the SPL can join the game in spirit, wearing their favourite team’s gear or collecting them as memorabilia. Aramex is happy to make this process easier and unite fans of the league in supporting their team. As well, we are pleased to support the League in taking this popular game to fans across the world,” said Hussein Hachem, CEO-Gulf, Aramex. “We have already started delivery of the online orders in the region and beyond, from the streets of Jeddah to the suburbs of London, New York and even down under in Australia. The SPL has a major following worldwide, and Aramex is happy to connect them to the game through this simple, and reliable service.”
