The 2010 event, which is the 18th in the WMX Europe series, will be staged on the 15 – 17 June at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, Copenhagen.
The event, which features a two-day conference with many of the world’s leading mail and express industry figures speaking, also incorporates a showcase supplier exhibition, and the presentation of the 11th World Mail Awards, to be staged at a Gala Dinner on the 15 June.
2010 is the first time that World Mail & Express Europe has been held in Scandinavia, and follows hard on the heels of the merger between Post Danmark and the Swedish Posten AB. Lars G Nordström, group CEO of the new merged entity of Posten Norden, said: “These are exciting times in our industry in Scandinavia – our merger creates a powerful new postal service and we are delighted that World Mail & Express Europe is coming to our region for what will be a highly informative conference”.
World Mail & Express Europe launched in 1988 and has built a strong reputation as the ‘must attend’ event in the mail and express calendar.
Last year’s event attracted over 350 senior executives and the speaker list was a virtual who’s who of the industry worldwide. The content covers the burning issues within the industry, together with separate, specialised sessions on technology and retail.
The event is run by UK-based Triangle Management Services. Neil Jackson, chief executive of Triangle, said: “We are really looking forward to the Copenhagen event.
