DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT to have regular communications in China

DHL, UPS, FedEx, and TNT will be able to enjoy a mechanism for regular communications with the Chinese government. The State Post Bureau of China held a meeting in regards to foreign express delivery companies and decided that the China Express Delivery Association would create a foreign investment department.

The four giants have paid much attention to the Chinese market. TNT Hoau, which is wholly owned by TNT, has vied for the 2010 third-party logistics distribution cooperation with Joyoung, a famous small household appliance maker based in Jinan, Shandong Province, north China.

During 2009, the small household appliance maker invested CNY 100 million into logistics distribution, and Shandong’s total logistics output value exceeded CNY 7 trillion.

UPS and DHL have opened their own representative offices or branches in Qingdao, south Shandong, and the total number of TNT Hoau’s day-definite distribution sample stores is expected to jump to 14 by the end of this year.
