DHL doubles CTL depots

DHL has doubled the number of its global Clinical Trials Logistics (CTL) depots from eight to 16 to include India, China, Panama, Canada, USA, Chile, Argentina and Lebanon. DHL now offers its CTL service to 64 countries worldwide.

This expansion will integrate emerging markets into global supply chains and to strengthen customers’ global research efforts in the fight against major illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease and arthritis.

Chris Tierney, director of the Clinical Trials Logistics service at DHL Supply Chain, said: “Clinical research is becoming increasingly global and so is the demand for clinical trials logistics. Over the last four years, we have met this challenge by doubling our depot network while providing a consistent quality of standards, processes, capabilities and pricing. We are confident that we can play a key role in the further globalisation of clinical trials to help accelerate the discovery of new and groundbreaking treatments.”
