DHL France takeover edges closer

The anticipated sale of DHL France’s parcel business to Caravelle is likely to be completed next month. Caravelle, a financial holding company, could oversee a change of ownership by June, according to a report by IFW.

Post&Parcel had previously reported that the original offer for the French business, which has about 3,400 employees, was made in January. Media sources have speculated since last year that a sale was in the making, saying that the deal could be valued between $200m and $300m

Earlier this year Deutsche Post DHL sold its UK domestic parcel business to Home Delivery Network for an undisclosed price.
