ACI from DA Systems provides courier pay management for DX Group

DX Group has chosen ACI (Advanced Courier Interface), from DA Systems, to streamline and manage its subcontract courier pay process across its entire network of service centres. ACI has been implemented across 30 service centres, linking the pay administration teams directly to the service centres, in real-time. This ensures that not only does ACI control the automated production of subcontract pay sheets; it also provides the means to log all jobs – whether planned or ad-hoc. As a result, subcontractor pay has been speeded up and payment errors eliminated.

The new unified system from DA Systems replaces a number of localised systems operated by DX. The pay module within ACI is now reducing the administrative task, adding greater security and accuracy to the weekly pay process, together with providing additional safety measures such as back-ups and on-going support.

ACI was chosen because of its ability to manage courier payments via a variety of methods including fixed, ad-hoc and per-drop cost, group-wide. In addition ACI was already established and proven within Business Direct’s operations, prior to its acquisition by DX in 2008.

ACI has made the courier pay process more efficient through the eradication of the previous multiple platforms. This has led to effective workflow controls being introduced that ensure an appropriate authorisation of courier payments, coupled with a more efficient way to handle courier invoicing where they are using handheld computers.
