imail introduces icanvass tool to enable area-specific direct mail campaigns

Using the icanvass tool, businesses can now purchase addresses in a specific area or location direct through the imail service for just 10 pence per contact to support planned mail communications. The service is suitable for both local and national businesses that are keen to canvass certain residential areas to raise awareness of products and services, forthcoming events or planned developments. Contact details can be chosen by road, area or postcode with a minimum order of 25 addresses, and once selected, companies can use imail’s unrivalled range mail options including letters, postcards and mailshots to target local residences.

For example, an estate agency might use the service to target certain streets to increase its portfolio of properties, whilst a boutique retail store could organise a mail campaign to attract new shoppers or publicise a planned sale within the local area. For organisations such as utility companies who are required to pre-warn residents of any planned service disruptions or outages, the icanvass tool offers an ideal solution to ensure legal compliance, avoid loss of business, compensation claims and customer dissatisfaction.

The icanvass tool also suppresses the addresses against Mail Preference and You Move files. This not only ensures a responsible mailing solution but can also contribute to greater success over traditional door-to-door methods by only targeting addresses that are most likely to respond.
