DHL rates to go up in UK

DHL Express has announced its 2011 rate adjustments for the UK. The company said there will be a general average price increase of 3.2%, effective January 1, 2011.

The price increase will be 3% for Time Definite products and 5% for Day Definite products.

DHL Express adjusts its prices annually, taking into account inflation and rising costs in the 220 countries that it serves.

Price adjustments will vary from country to country, depending on local conditions, and will apply to all customers where contracts allow, the company said.

Earlier this year, DHL sold its domestic parcels business in the UK to Home Delivery Network, who have recently rebranded to Yodel.
