Polish Post Rejects Offer for Bank Unit

A senior official said Thursday Poland’s state-owned postal service Poczta Polska SA has rejected a 400 million zloty ($1=PLZ4.2587) bid from Austria’s Raiffeisen Zentralbank (R.RFZ) for a stake in its banking arm, the Polish Press Agency reported. Przemyslaw Seczkowski, deputy director of Poczta Polska, said at a news briefing that the offer to buy a 51% stake in Bank Pocztowy was ‘too low and didn’t take into account the bank’s full potential.’ Poczta Polska holds a 66.6% stake in Bank Pocztowy, and 74.2% of the shareholder voting rights
