myHermes launches multiple collection tool

myHermes has launched a new multiple collections tool for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) trading online. The new tool will save the businesses up to half the time spent booking and ordering multiple parcel collections.

The feature is available via myhermes.co.uk and “removes the hassle of manually inputting individual shipping details by uploading data direct from a computer or selected third-party retail sites”, the company said.

myhermes.co.uk offers a fully transactional website where users can place an order for parcels to be collected and delivered anywhere in UK for as little as £2.75.

The new feature allows multiple delivery addresses and other necessary information to be uploaded directly into the myhermes.co.uk online portal in a csv file. In addition, the tool can also integrate directly with an eBay or Amazon pro merchant sellers account to automatically capture required shipping information.

Research conducted amongst 200 myHermes customers found that virtually all believed the upload tool would reduce the time required to send parcels. In fact, almost three quarters claimed the function would reduce this time by half, with 15% suggesting it would save as much as 70%.

Jon Tobbell from myHermes said: “This latest development will help businesses overcome a problem when sending multiple parcels each day. As a result, it will be possible to streamline the ordering and no longer have to commit significant resources to this traditionally time-consuming process.”
