DHL expands transatlantic express service
DHL customers in Germany and France are being given the chance to send next-day delivery shipments to the US, Canada and Mexico. The shipping company has established two new air routes between the Europe and the US to expand its North American overnight Express network.
The new connections from Paris and Frankfurt will use dedicated flights to DHL’s main North America air hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
DHL’s expanded service comes following its investment in a fleet of new Boeing 767F aircraft to enhance routes between Europe and North America in the face of “high demand” for express services.
John Pearson, chief executive officer for DHL Express Europe, said Canada, the US and Mexico were “very important” trade partners for European markets and for DHL Express.
He said: “DHL is seeing continuously high demand for transatlantic express services and the two new routes will help customers on both sides of the Atlantic to improve their export and import flows.”
