La Poste offers app to create postcards from smartphones

La Poste has launched a new app that will allow customers to create their own postcards from pictures taken on their smartphones. The new application, called MaCartaMoi, can be downloaded for free on iPhones and Android phones, and will allow users in France to either capture a new image or use an existing image to turn into a real postcard, complete with a personal message.

Completed postcards can be transmitted either electronically, or physically through the post.

The post cards can be sent for free by email, or shared via social media like Facebook.

Alternatively, for a 2.49 euro charge including shipping, the post card can be printed and distributed through the La Poste network to a required address within France.
