Pitney Bowes appoints Davidson new European president
Pitney Bowes has appointed Ian Davidson as president of Global Mailing Solutions (GMS). Davidson will now oversee the development, growth and profitability of the division throughout Europe.
He first joined Pitney Bowes in 1988 after a four-year career as a professional cricketer with Lancashire County Cricket Club. Davidson has held various roles across the company in the UK, Europe and the US, and joins GMS from Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies (DMT) International where he was vice president.
During his time with Pitney Bowes DMT he played a key role in establishing Pitney Bowes as the partner of choice for organisations processing high volumes of business-critical documents.
Speaking about his new role, Davidson said: “This is a particularly exciting time as we realign our business to provide customers with greater flexibility and efficiency in the way they deal with Pitney Bowes.
“Our product portfolio – headed up by the new full colour Connect + Series – demands a more solutions-led approach when communicating with our customers and prospects.
“We have the technology, the scale and the expertise to engage with organisations at every stage of the communication cycle. We are not only helping customers save money, we are playing a key role in driving them towards business growth.”
The company’s GMS division helps customers create, prepare and distribute mail in the “most efficient and cost-effective manner”, a company statement said.
