Pitney Bowes launches new version of hybrid mail software

Pitney Bowes has introduced the latest version of its P/I OfficeMail software – a secure hybrid mail solution that automates the process of mailing desk-top generated documents.

P/I OfficeMail software is an integral part of Pitney Bowes Production Intelligence software solutions to link print and mail.

The Version 3 new enhancements include: a pay-as-you-go facility and batch document mailing.

Users now have the option of buying credit and using P/I OfficeMail on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Furthermore, many office-based print-jobs are created as multi-document PDF’s. P/I OfficeMail can auto-mail these jobs to benefit from the consistency and technical quality of centralised print and mail production environments.

Pitney Bowes says that submitting documents via batch document mailing “gives users the safeguard of a robust, fully automated track-and-trace service, providing an audit trail to satisfy the strictest compliance demands”.

Grant Miller, vice president, Global Strategic Product Management at Pitney Bowes, said: “P/I OfficeMail is a tremendous fit for any global customer looking for productivity, efficiency and communication effectiveness.

“In Europe, we have enormous interest from enterprise customers who see real benefit in aggregating print and mail – from both a cost perspective, and in terms of bringing greater professionalism and integrity to their communications.

“We now have major enterprises putting significant volume through P/I OfficeMail and the latest version of the solution is geared towards adding even greater convenience and value.”
